I will eventually finish this series. Eventually. I reviewed the third book in this series, Gatekeepers, here. Check it out, if you’re interested.
Summary: Although the King family manages to save their grandmother from the clutches of the house, Jesse is injured and must be hospitalized, though he leaves the Kings a confusing message first. Without a real plan, the Kings continue their search for Mrs. King in the portals and try to learn more about Taksidian. After several failed attempts in the portals, Keal discovers the meaning behind Jesse’s message. Jesse was directing them to a portal, one that would lead to a meeting of familiar faces. Afterwards, everyone reluctantly goes to school in order to keep up appearances. But after school, it’s back to business when Xander decides to follow Taksidian. What they discover could change the future in ways they can’t even imagine.
Likes: I liked Timescape. The character development is great and it’s full of action, which helps keep things interesting. The author’s also getting deeper into the mythology of the house and of Taksidian, which I find fascinating.
Dislikes: There honestly wasn’t anything that stood out to me that I didn’t like.
TL;DR: I would definitely recommend Timescape to any teen or even adult. It’s a fast-paced, interesting read that’s sure to keep everyone entertained. But please read the other books in the series first! I cannot stress that enough.
