War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells

I’ve actually been working on this book for an embarrassingly long time. Anyway, I just finished it and you can check it out here.

Rating: [1/5]

Summary: War of the Worlds chronicles the Martian invasion in turn-of-the-century England. The narrator, who remains unnamed, struggles to get back to his wife after the disaster separates them. Part of the book also recounts the events of the narrator’s brother in a different part of England.

Likes: War of the Worlds is quite a significant contribution to the science fiction genre. It was essentially one of the first books of its kind.

Dislikes: That being said, I did not particularly enjoy War of the Worlds. I recognize the importance it has, and the impact it’s made on literature. It just wasn’t my favorite.

TL;DR: I would recommend War of the Worlds to anyone who enjoys science fiction, if only for the enormous influence it had on the genre.

Agree? Disagree? Let me know!
