Disney in Shadow by Ridley Pearson

Finally, I got to knock out this book out on the drive to my husband’s birthday trip to Galveston. I had been reading it for weeks in between class periods, but that just didn’t cut it. Now that it’s summer, I’m hoping to read a lot more. You can check out Disney in Shadow here.

Rating: [3/5]

Summary: The Kingdom Keepers are back in a quest to save Wayne, who was kidnapped by the Overtakers. In order to save Wayne, they turn Amanda and Jess (Jez) into DHIs. Luckily, Wayne left them riddles and clues to help them along the way. During the rescue, things heat up between Amanda and Finn, and the Kingdom Keepers discover a plot bigger than they could have imagined.

Likes: As always, I loved all the Disney references. It’s clear the author did a lot of research. l also enjoyed the plot development. If it stays on this track, the next book should be even more intense.

Dislikes: I didn’t like how the author doesn’t stick to his own canon. He changes around people’s names in all the books so far. Also, some of the dialogue is pretty sexist, which personally bothers me a lot.

TL;DR: l would recommend this book to any Disney or adventure lovers out there. It’s a quick, easy read that’s perfect for the summer.
